Dates Traveling To Mexico

Enter the date you will be entering Mexico. If you purchase your policy before the day it becomes effective, it will go into effect at 12:01 AM on the effective date and will cover you for the entirety of the day (s) you enter. If you purchase your policy the same day you are entering Mexico, your coverage becomes effective at the time you purchase your policy which is date/time stamped and printed on your policy declarations page.
Enter the date you will be leaving Mexico. The policy will cover you for the entirety of the day you are leaving. All policies end at 12:01 AM (just after midnight). The maximum policy period is 1 year.

Please Note: Coverage provided is for marked roadway use only. Off-road use is strictly excluded from all policy packages.

Insurance policies that cover theft of or damage to a vehicle use the Actual Cash Value, or the present market value, as the basis for valuing the vehicle in the event of a loss. If you have an accident or your vehicle is stolen, the company will pay you based on your vehicle's Actual Cash Value. We suggest you use one of two auto industry guides to help you determine the present value of your vehicle. The Kelly Blue Book or NADA Guide.

Please choose a liability limit from the drop-down menu. Due to Mexico law, we recommend $500,000CSL. If you purchase a Full Coverage policy the liability limit will automatically include $500,000CSL.

Liability coverage pays for bodily injury and/or property damage to others in the event you are found negligent in a covered accident.

Towed Units

VERY IMPORTANT: Each self propelled vehicle that is being towed will also need a separate insurance policy to cover the self propelled vehicle while it is detached and being driven. Click here for more information.

Self-propelled towed vehicle(s) (i.e. a towed auto, motorcycle, atv/utv) are covered while in tow. Once detached or driven there is NO COVERAGE under this policy. If you are towing a self-propelled vehicle, you will need a separate insurance policy, covering each towed vehicle you plan to detach and drive. If you will be purchasing a separate policy for the self propelled vehicle, and getting full coverage, you do not need to list the self propelled vehicle for a value here (this will avoid duplicate coverage and cost).

Towed Boats, Boat/Vehicle/Utility Trailers, and Pop up Campers your liability coverage will automatically extend to these towed units, while in tow. Once detached, these types of towed units are no longer covered. For full coverage while in tow, you will need to list your towed unit(s), with a corresponding value. Based on vehicle age and value, some units will not qualify for full coverage.

Towed, Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, and Toy Haulers your liability coverage will automatically extend, while in tow and when detached. For full coverage, you will need to list your towed unit(s), with a corresponding value. Based on vehicle age and value, some units will not qualify for full coverage.

Towing is ineligible for Vehicle Types ATV/UTV, Motorcycle as it is excluded in the Terms & Conditions of all policies.

Please list each towed unit that you want full coverage on. All others will automatically be covered for Liability only (while in tow).

Additional Information

If your US/Canada policy does not include theft & collision coverage and your vehicle is not in Mexico for more than 180 days per year, you are not eligible for Full Coverage and instead will receive a Liability Only quote.
